Bout has denied all charges stating that the charges are outrageous and are based on fiction, not evidence. Even though there is over 2 hours of recorded evidence of Bout attempting to sell weapons to undercover U.S. Operatives to be used against U.S. forces he claims they are mistaken.
Senator Leland Yee steps down as more indictments approach – Leland Yee has taken a leave of absence an indictment of racketeering has been filed. Yee has refused to answer questions and seem content to stay in his home and weather out this storm.
Afghanistan forming new Law and Order system – With a new U.S. friendly leader at the helm Afghanistan is set to form an improved military and civil law enforcement. The military has been receiving training from U.S. trained Private Contractors. Things appear to be heading in the right direction and should stay the course as long as surrounding countries allow it.

As Afghanistan becomes more U.S. minding Uzbekistan seems to want to create an alliance and walk away from its surrounding neighbors. If the treaty is signed it could open up future trade agreement between the U.S. and the surrounding area.
